The one with food, travel, movies, chick lits… and other social, shiny bits of the Internet
Nah, not really. I have been reading quite a bit on the local blogosphere recently, and the launch of Asia’s first blog advertising network (known as NuffNang – why that name, I am not sure) caught my eyes. So I registered myself an account, and clicked around the dashboard. Rather impressive, I must say. I wanted to put the ads on my most profitable site, but decided that I should at least test it out first on my own blog.
(Plus, I don’t think Shafik will appreciate me taking over the premium spot on the sidebar for some money-making scheme. It’s a matter of time, LOL)
Currently there are about 200 blogs in the network, and more is coming everyday. The first advertiser on the network was Nike Plus** on a handful of blogs (a list available here).
This is indeed a breath of fresh hair from the US-centric ads network, like Google Adsense. But will it work, profitably speaking, in the long run? Let’s keep our blogger fingers crossed.
** Affiliated link for the cowboy, whom I hold in high regards, blogging wise – and it was through his post that I discovered NuffNang, so it is only fitting.
