This has never happened before. Throughout my legendary career as a (dinner) party planner, my guests have never been on time, turning up simultaneously and flooded my little HDB flat.

Last night marked the first time in history when the unthinkable happened. No, they are still fashionably late. But all of them turned up at the same time. Within the span of 2 hours, my house is filled to the brim with people eating, drinking and chatting.

What I remembered vividly is how we were musing over the various groups of people. We called them G1, G2 and G3, each representing a “generation” of colleagues from the companies I worked for, plus their extended circle of friends who turned up.

I always think my life is like Friendster comes alive. Everyone is less than 6-degree away!

Now I am going to test my memory and see if I get the list of guests correct:

G1 – Ryan, Thet, Jude, Jude’s GF, Shawn
G2 – Zhengxi, Tracy, Kaz, Min, Teddy, Marsha, Mike, Mike’s friend
G3 – Beth, Beth’s husband Jun, Tess, Daniel, Wylie, Lisa, Sze Min, Eric, Jason, Jason’s GF “Bob”, Gordon, Thanet

The night was a blast – many thanks to you guys for turning up and making it fun! The food was fabulous, drinks were aplenty and companion was excellent. And to the biggest “generation” of the night, kudos for you people of G3 for staying till 5 in the morning playing silly games, turth-or-dare and sexcapades…

… come to think of it, many of the things we shared are best forgotten, eh? Haha!
